As the Prop Turns!
We are always talking about developing youth programs and finding ways to get young people interested in antique and classic boating. Here Sunnyland member Dave Doner is doing his part to share his love for boating with his grandson Darrin Doner. They are pictured in his 1936 yacht tender "Ida" at the Whitefish Chain Boat Show in Crosslake, MN at Moonlight Bay on July 25th, 2009. What better way is there to introduce young children to boating than to give them a boat ride?

BOAT SHOW VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
On October 7th, the first boat show planning meeting was held at Tavares Station, chaired by Terry Fiest. Terry has identified 28 different committees of which nine require the majority of volunteers. Remember that following the 2009 boat show, 253 volunteers were listed and thanked in the Spring 2009 Sheerline.
The committees needing the most help include: Registration, Reception, Launch Ramp, Ship’s Store, Set up & Take Down, Dock assistance, Parking, Ticket/Admission and Trailer Parking. All work in half day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The dates are March 25-28, 2010.
You are encouraged you to volunteer your help. E-mail us at sunnyvol@hotmail.com or call Barry or Stan at the numbers below. Please tell indicate to us which committee you would like to serve on as well as the day and time (a.m. or p.m.). We will do what we can to accommodate your wishes. Thank you for your continued help.
